My first pieces

Hello all,
Here is a link to my online portfolio which I will be building as I go. This first piece was on my son, it is the Sobe Lizards. I have also completed a tribal butterfly on my wifes lower back and will post it when the pics are processed. I have only been learning for 3 weeks.

Pretty ambitious piece for 3 wks in... I was tattooing grapefruits for MONTHS before I was trusted with actual skin! Still, the piece looks pretty good. Let us know what it looks like when it heals - you learn a lot from that assessment.

Re: My first pieces

Roscoe,
Thanks for the input. It is almost completely healed and looks good except for one thing...3 days after he got it, he was in an attic running duct work and ripped it on a 2x4. There's about a 1"x1/2" spot of green completely GONE!! No biggy to pack it back in though. My teacher is constantly watching over my shoulder and talking to me as I go. He's been doing it for 12 years and does exclusively custom work. He teazes me that I'm on the fast track learning course and if I keep going like this, he's gonna quit teaching me. I did a script wrist band on my wife with all 5 of our kid's names and it turned out well too. The lettering was only 1/4" tall. That was frustrating. The benefit I do have is we are not in a storefront/business situation and the work I'm doing is all freebies on donor skin. He runs a full shop from a converted detached garage at his home and works by appointment only. I am so blessed to have come across this guy in a world full of "tat-man-egoes" and people just out to sell tats and make money. I feel like Daniel in Karate kid, you know? Peace
Xian
