Tattoo Truth Revealed part 2

Sorry i coulndt post all of it on part one here is the rest of the Truth.

God was the first tattooist so to speak; read Genesis 4:15 15 But the LORD said to him, “Not so; if anyone kills Cain, he will suffer vengeance seven times over.” Then the LORD put a mark on Cain so that no one who found him would kill him. 16 So Cain went out from the LORD’s presence and lived in the land of Nod, east of Eden.

God put a mark on Cain so people wouldn’t kill him for killing his brother. We can see by researching these verses, yes it could mean something other than a tattoo, as we know it, however it could also be a tattoo, as we know it. There is nothing that shows this wasn’t an actual tattoo, in my opinion it is an actual type of tattoo. So tattoos have been around since almost the time mankind has been here. We have proof of this when we look at the historical finding of the tattooed man estimated at being 5000 years old that had tattoos on him.

1 Corinthians 6: 19 Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20 you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body.

Tells us that the body is the temple of the Holy Spirit and we should not harm it, again if we cut ourselves shaving it would be sin thinking this way. This verse also says to glorify God with our bodies this word means to praise, magnify etc. and how better to do that than with tattoos, if we choose to do so.

People even say What Would Jesus Do, before we learned Jesus Himself will be tattooed Revelation 19:16 On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written:
KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.

So Jesus WOULD get a tattoo I believe.

Since He will have one when He returns.

How is God going to determine who gets in to Heaven. If we have one tattoo we can’t get in or is it more than 3 and we can’t get in, do we have to be so tall or so short or do we have to weight a certain amount? The list can be endless; the Bible teaches that we gain entrance into heaven by getting forgiveness for our sins based on the blood of Jesus and His dying and resurrection from the dead. Not on what we look like in anyway.

So we can see that tattooing is not against God, and God isn’t against tattooing, so we can understand that God looks at the inside of us and our hearts not our blood pumping muscle but our emotions and thought processes etc. and making Jesus Lord of our lives by asking Him into our hearts does not mean we want Jesus to be in our blood pumping muscle, but bring Him into our thought process, so we can see things and do things the way Jesus wants us to.

Galatians 6:17 Finally, let no one cause me trouble, for I bear on my body the marks of Jesus.

In closing this is the only verse that has the word tattoo from the Greek, which is Stigma. “From henceforth let no man trouble me, for I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus.”

This mark or stigma, was a mark pricked in or branded upon the body. To ancient oriental usage, slaves and soldiers bore the name or the stamp of their master or commander branded or pricked into their bodies to indicate what master or general they belonged to, and there were even some devotee’s who stamped themselves in this way with the token of their gods.

So we have learned that by being tattooed we are not doomed to hell as some people think and teach, but we have a loving God who understands the things we do and why we do them, again this is not designed to tell people to get a tattoo, and yes there are those out there that will tell you that if you don’t have a tattoo you cant get into heaven, this is also a goofy teaching, Abraham and Adam and Moses etc. did not have tattoos or at least the Bible doesn’t say they had tattoos, and don’t you think, that if God made it that all of us would have to have a tattoo to get into heaven it would be in His Word. If that is supposed to be the case we have to be tattooed to get into heaven explain to me why Jesus dies on the cross?

Jesus died so we could have a way to have our sins forgiven, no other reason and all because He loves us.

For our sins to be forgiven, we need to realize we need a Savior, and that we desire to turn from the sins in our lives and trust God for our forgiveness.

If you are here and have never taken this step to be able to be excepted into heaven someday when we leave this earth, then tonight can be your night if you let it be.

See it is a choice that we make ourselves no one can make this decision for us it is a personal thing, if we decide to not except this free forgiveness then when we end up in hell we will know we deserve it and will never complain because we will know we had our chance and decided to turn it away.

There ya have it everything you wanted to know about tattoos and God and His Word but didnt know who to ask.

Maybe our fine Web developer could put this on the front page somewhere to add to peoples knowledge about who God really is.

I'll mention it to Deb; it's a pretty good defense against all the criticisms I've heard of body art.
