posticon Vineyards tend to be ink friendly

Hello, All:
My family and I now attend the Richmond Vineyard Christian Fellowship in Virginia. There are several people that attend that are inked and no one really thinks twice about it.
We had attended the Honolulu Vineyard while we were stationed in Hawaii. They also, are very ink friendly.
I think it all comes down to attitude, not skin. When people know your heart, what is there to argue? I've met people that had a problem w/it that didn't go to my church. But, I figure that is just an issue between them and God. Those people probably have issues w/other judgements as well. Oh, well. I'm at the age that I don't hide my tats anymore. What you see is what you get. My friends respect me for that.
Just my two cents.
Blessings,
Kelsey

Kelsey:
You are right about these people having other judgement issues. "Judge not, lest ye be judged" means not to pass ETERNAL judgement. It doesn't mean we AREN'T to call sin "sin", or sugar-coat it, like if someone was committing adultery, we would call it SIN, yes, and try to work with the person to help them realize this is destructive & hurts God as well as others involved in it, but leave the ETERNAL judgement of that person to the Judge! i.e., JESUS! ; ) What kind of tattoos do you have? Have seen some really neat ones recently! ; ) -InkedSailor

I have 5 tats to date. I plan on fixing some and adding on sometime this year. Read: $$$ lol Anyway, my most recent is on my upper arm (shoulder to 2" about elbow.) It has Hebrew & Aramaic writing, along w/symbolism of my faith. i.e, pearl of great price, vines & branches, 'the fish' and the celtic triad for the trinity. The one I got before that is a type of Hawaiian lei on my lower back that says, "In God I Trust" in Hawaiian.
If I can get some pix of my two favorites, I'll post them.
Blessings,
Kelsey

Kelsey:
Since I've been down here at Camp Lejeune, NC on temporary duty, from the 18th of March until NOW, I've had my FIRST, second, AND third tats done!!! Yep! Little sore, here & there! The first was a red heart on my left shoulder that has the Stars & Bars and a banner reading "Dixie" across it; the second was a Caduceus, the "medical" symbol of the two snakes going up a winged-pole (the rating symbol for Hospital Corpsman, my rate in the Navy)with the words "Navy 'Doc' " above it, and the last one is an angel standing on a snake (serpent, of course!) getting ready to spear him! That was on my right chest/abdomen. Yeah....ouch! :o Going to try to post the angel tat. How do you do it on here? -InkedSailor

how to post a pic

To post a picture of your tat(s) go to the home page, then to gallery. On the bottom of the page, you'll see a link for the webmaster. Just let him/her know what you want to post and probably attach a picture.
Hope this helps some.
Blessings,
Kelsey

Re: Vineyards tend to be ink friendly

There's a Vineyard church in Texas that is really good about not being judgemental about anything. I have been really impressed with the attitude of the people there. They're good to everyone that walks in the door. Even the homeless would come in and while they smelled and could be kind of strange at times, and their clothes were as Sunday best as possible, in their imperfection they were accepted and greeted at a vineyard church.

Good job you guys. If you go to a chuch like that of any kind, keep up the good work. Jesus says well done.

I attend the Vineyard in Dothan, AL and everybody is ink friendly. It isn't that big of a deal and some of the best Christians I have meet in the church have tattoos. For the most part it is seen as a personal decision. Some people share there faith with there music or art and some use tattoos.

I know over 100 vineyard sir pastor, worship leaders and youth pastors and a lot of them have tattoos. SO tattoos are totally accepted in the vineyard! (I'm a female with 2 tattoos and I'm very much in leadership in a vineyard church.)
