PLease pray and reach out!!! HELP!!

One of our tattooed [sign in to see URL] name is Dennis M.

He tuns a beautiful ministry and he, his wife and his beautiful daughter Isabella have been faced with some terribly trying issues.

I wont use my [sign in to see URL] will use his.

"If you pray PLEASE pray for Isabella!

Please lift us up in prayer. We were at a conference yesterday 5 hours from home yesterday when we got a call from Isabella's Dr.. He said tests showed that she has galactosemia and that gen needed to stop breast-feeding. We went to Wal-Mart and placed her on soy. We did some research online and realized that it was best if we just drive the 5 hours and get back home. Galactosemia means too much galactose in the blood caused by the individual "missing" the enzyme (known as GALT) to convert galactose into glucose. The nutrients then turn to toxins attacking the liver and then going to the brain typically. Gen has been breast-feeding from day one, so almost 6 weeks. Studies show this needs to have stopped by around week 4 to prevent long-term effects. The digestive disease can be mild but he said her levels were in the highest range. We are so afraid and the end result could be liver failure, mental retardation and a handful of other things. We are so afraid right now and just dont know how much more we can hold. There is always a chance for a false positive in the testing and we are hoping this is the case since Isabella has NEVER shown any signs of this disease at this time. They are getting us into see a specialist on Tuesday or Wednesday in St Louis which is where 2 of the nations top ranked children's hospitals are located. They will do genetic testing on her and see what and where the problem is.
I just dont know how much more I can handle being thrown at [sign in to see URL] must admit I am confused and a bit angry with God. My wife was quick to remind me of somethign I just preached on at Cornerstone, God never causes something bad to happen, it isn't His fault. I do believe that but at the same time I really need God to give us a break. I really need Him to cover us and protect our little girl."

Isabella, Dennis and Isabella's mother will be in my prayers. I will be praying especially for the parents, because I know from personal experience, that NOTHING ON EARTH is more frightening than your sick child. NOTHING will test your realtionship with Jesus Christ and your belief in God more than standing by that child's sick bed, unable to really help, feeling like a failure and angry with God for letting this happen. Let's all pray that Isabella's parents' faith will be strengthened. Oh yea, and take just a minute to thank the Lord for our healthy children, whether they are four months or forty years old. At times like this, I realize that I don't do that enough.
Hey Jayme, let these folks know that the we're standing beside them before the Lord.

We will be sure to pray for them as well! God loves his children. We have been through so much as well, and find out at the end what he was doing. His love is real, no matter what, even if we do not understand. Knowing that, and telling yourself that over and over until there is no doubt. This will bring you to another level in a relationship with God. His hands are on you,and his love is around you. We will pray and know that all their needs will be meet, in Jesus name.

Please read my latest blog for more information.

We just talked to a nurse at Cardinal Glennons in St Louis. We have an appointment at 1pm tomorrow. They are afraid that she has a classic case of galactosemia which was our worst fear possible. Please read our blog for information about this.
thank you for all the prayers you can lift up!!!

8 Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. 9 Stand firm against him, and be strong in your faith. Remember that your Christian brothers and sisters all over the world are going through the same kind of suffering you are.

10 In his kindness God called you to share in his eternal glory by means of Christ Jesus. So after you have suffered a little while, he will restore, support, and strengthen you, and he will place you on a firm foundation. 11 All power to him forever! Amen.

~When we endure trials and hard times, it shouldn't come as a surprise, a shock, or followed by an endless list of "Why.." questions. We have been told time and again in the Bible that we will suffer just as Christ and our brothers and sisters before us suffered. I have been reminded today of our [sign in to see URL] our fallen world. All of the suffering that I see only makes me long for Heaven that much more. We should always remember our family in prayer, knowing full well that we are ALWAYS under attack for we are not home [sign in to see URL] are in "another's" territory. Pray daily with determined knees and hands for our [sign in to see URL] we know by name and those that we do not. Until the appointed day, this is how it will be, let's stand firm together!!!!!

Hebrews 12:12 "So take a new grip with your tired hands and stand firm on your shaky legs. Mark out a straight path for your feet. Then those who follow you, though they are weak and lame, will not stumble and fall but will become strong."

We blaze trails for those that will [sign in to see URL] as our family who came before us blazed the trails we walk upon now.....

Much love family!

Emily
