Most of the time in this passage people see where Paul is talking about "being all things to all people". It is the important part of this particular part of the message he was writing to the church in Corinth. Yet there is more and I found it really interesting that Paul didnt seperate himself here.... read the part of this passage from Paul in the end.....he says "with you". He didnt say "for you". I think this is particularly important that he wrote this. He didnt exclude himself as if he was holy and finished and done but rather he said...I partake "with you". So many people see a man who is with the Lord, whether he be a minister or a pastor, a evangelist or whatever and they automatically try and place that person in what I call a "holy box". Assuming that person is something finished and done. Yet our Lord says salvation is a life, not a moment. We as christians are given a hope (as paul talks about earlier in 1 corinth 9:10) and we are not just a minister of that hope but also a partaker of it. We are all a part of the same struggle and the same answers. Jesus is all of our savior, which makes us all equal in that hope. I feel living and viewing my life and this ministry in this way allows me not only the ability to not have to live on a holy soap box but also allows me to grow each day and share in each day along with the people God brings into my life. Could I have answers that the Lord has already given me, which I can share with another that they dont have? Sure. Yet I am not a holy man of my own accord rather a man who is saved because Jesus is Holy ...  1 Peter 1:16 "Be holy, because I am holy." I am made holy by Christ, not to live as something I am not but to keep my eyes focused on Christ who reminds me of his holy work in me. I am constantly reminded (thankfully) that even though God has chosen me for ministry and to spread the Gospel and fight for love.... I do this as a man who is a partaker of the hope, therefore Christ is a witness in me. Yes....we all partake together of the hope in Jesus. Which makes us all equal within the hope. Making our lives much more a part of one another as we all bare the burden of life in this world. We share many opporunties as tattooed people, yet none of them are more important or more worthy of Our Lord than joining in our hope as we battle through the struggles of this life!! Making our struggle hopeful and turning our tears to joy! Victory is a realization of surrender. WHy? Because our hope in Christ is holy...beause He is holy! Man....its beautiful to be a tattoed person saved and loved by Jesus!!nondisclosed_email@example.com (warchild33)Fri, 27 Jul 2007 09:22:39 +0000
