We are ALL Christians.....??? Oct 22nd

Ive not been posting a lot [sign in to see URL] liek nobody wants to talk anymore. Which breaks my heart but the site is still getting 20-30,000 hits a month. Just peopel are silent..

So I want to ask a question....

Can anyone point out a person that Christ didnt die for?

If [sign in to see URL] that mean we are all "One Body, One Soul"....all of us in the eyes of Jesus are "saved"? Just some of us are benefiting from that gift that has been bought and paid for and some of us are not?

I want to hear your [sign in to see URL] and feelings?

I am all ears....

well hands down. Christ loves everyone. He is the very essence of love. but he is also Just and Holy. He is obligated to judge those who are not in Christ. its part of who he is. but God is such a great mystery. Who can Comprehend the mind of God?

Praise be to Him.

P.S.- so when is this site gnna be back online?

To me, all people can be/are Christians because how can I know a heart? How can I know what it contains? There are people who stand behind pulpits that will not enter into heaven; and there are people in bars and strip clubs who [sign in to see URL] really has any idea. Sure we all can rightly see the difference between fruit bearing trees and those that produce none, the Spirit gives us that ability. But again, only God knows [sign in to see URL]'s just our job to love all of them =) regardless =)

Re: We are ALL Christians.....??? Oct 22nd

[sign in to see URL] my post scripture started popping into my head, so I figured I'd share them....

My first thought after reading this and posting my first post was this "The sign of someone belonging to Christ is that they will have the HOly Spirit." Galatians 5:24-25 "Those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed the passions and desires of their sinful nature to his cross and crucified them there. If we are living now by the Holy Spirit, let us follow the Holy Spirit's leading in every part of our lives."

and then I read these goodies Galatians 5:5-6,13-14, "but we who live by the Spirit eagerly wait to receive everything promised to us who are right with God through faith. For when we place our faith in Christ Jesus, it makes no difference to God whether we are circumcised or not circumcised. What is important is faith expressing itself in love."

But then I flipped a few pages over and just when I was about to take a different vantage point and start bringing up some "good ole teachin'" I read this in Ephesians (which I will paraphrase) 2:[sign in to see URL] talks all about Oneness with Christ. Paul speaking in the letter talks about how Gentiles (non-Jews) were excluded before from the promises of God. But because of the blood of Christ we too are included in that "family." v. 12'....You lived in this world without God and without hope'...'but now you [sign in to see URL] of the blood of Christ"....it doesn't state because you accepted and now live the [sign in to see URL] just simply says "the blood".

then v. 14 "For Christ himself has made peace between us Jews and you Gentiles by making us all one people. He has broken down the wall of hostility that used to separate us. By his death he ended the whole system of Jewish law that excluded the Gentiles...." Now this is where it got interesting for me because the promise made to Abraham and his descendants was an "all covering" promise. Consequences for sin were/are always in place but the promise remained because of their [sign in to see URL] this same promise applies to ALL people, plainly stated! It wasn't the acceptance of the gift, it wasn't someone saying " a prayer " it CLEARLY says in that verse that it was HIS DEATH that ended it all!

I continued reading into chapter 4: 17-25, verse 25 " So put away all falsehood and "tell your neighbor the truth" because we belong to each other!" [sign in to see URL] didn't say "we saved people belong to each other" it just said neighbor.

*sorry this is long but I just wanted to share what I read*

2 Thessalonians 2:13-14 "As for us, we always thank God for you, dear brothers and sisters loved by the Lord. We are thankful that God chose you to be among the first to experience salvation, a salvation that came through the Spirit who makes you holy and by your belief in the truth."

and to quote The Man himself,

Matthew 7:13-14 "You can enter God's Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and it's gate is wide for the many who choose the easy way. But the gateway to life is small, and the road is narrow, and only a few ever find it." (19:30)~"But many who seem to be important now will be the least important then, and those who are considered the least here will be the greatest then."

***CONCLUSION***
Jesus abolished what separated us in the past, therefore we are all EQUAL. God will judge lives and how they are lived according to this final passage I will post after this point. ARE WE ALL CHRISTIANS??? We all are given the same promise and the same [sign in to see URL] we all take it? no, [sign in to see URL], five minutes prior to someone "accepting" salvation, were they not already a child of God? If two seconds before the final declaration escaped their lips, if they were to die, would they not enter the kingdom, or do you think God would know their thoughts and their heart and know that Jesus' blood accomplished what the Bible said it accomplished.

JOHN 12:44-50 *spoken by Jesus* "IF YOU TRUST ME, YOU ARE REALLY TRUSTING GOD WHO SENT ME. FOR WHEN YOU SEE ME, YOU ARE SEEING THE ONE WHO SENT ME. I HAVE COME AS A LIGHT TO SHINE IN THIS DARK WORLD, SO THAT ALL WHO PUT THEIR TRUST IN ME WILL NO LONGER REMAIN IN DARKNESS. IF ANYONE HEARS ME AND DOESN'T OBEY ME, I AM NOT HIS JUDGE--FOR I HAVE COME TO SAVE THE WORLD AND NOT TO JUDGE IT. BUT ALL WHO REJECT ME AND MY MESSAGE WILL BE JUDGED AT THE DAY OF JUDGMENT BY THE TRUTH I HAVE SPOKEN. I DON'T SPEAK ON MY OWN AUTHORITY. THE FATHER WHO SENT ME GAVE ME HIS OWN INSTRUCTIONS AS TO WHAT I SHOULD SAY. AND I KNOW HIS INSTRUCTIONS LEAD TO ETERNAL LIFE; SO I SAY WHATEVER THE FATHER TELLS ME TO SAY!"

Jesus paved the way for ALL to be saved, God will judge. We are all on equal ground, equal opportunity, One people of the same promise.

Geesh, I'm rambling today! Okay so simple answer:

I believe, in the eyes of Jesus we are all "saved" and it's just that some of us are benefiting from that promise and some are [sign in to see URL] I believe that Jesus' death and his blood accomplished what the Bible says it [sign in to see URL] the battle over death and abolishing the old law (system).

Wow... that is the big question isn't it. I guess we need to first define what you mean by "all" and "saved." Then we also need to make a distinction between the work of Sacrifice and the work of Salvation. Jesus' sacrifice, dying for all and defeating death and the grave, was done for all mankind. However this does not mean by any means that we are all saved. Yes Jesus died for all, but the work of Salvation is only done in those who accept Him as Lord and Savior by Faith alone. Not all have done so, thus we can not say that "all" are saved, we can only say that all are sacrificed for. To say otherwise would lead us into error. John 3:16 is the perfect text that makes this point, although the Sacrifice is for all, Salvation is for those who believe.

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on him should not perish, but have eternal life."

This doesn't even bring into mind the passages that deal with election and predestination, which, depending on where you fall, will have a significant effect on the discussion.

Re: We are ALL Christians.....??? Oct 22nd

Couple months ago, when I realized what Christ had done for me, after being a Christian for 16 years, I decided to emphasise it with a tattoo.
I had always "frowned upon" body art, especially as a Christian. But, I had an overwhelming move to have [sign in to see URL] that sent a clear and profound message: for myself as a distinct reminder of Crist's suffering for me, and as anice-breaker for those who see it. So it could not be hidden.
In a band, over my right biceps, in a custom script:
      Jesus Christ: His Pain-My Gain
           Isaiah 53:4,5
It became a witnessing tool 1st with the tattoo artist that helped me design it and who applied it. He shared a lot about his (miserable) life and I shared my similar testimony with him.
That night I was able to share extensively with a house guest of friends I was staying with, in Ft. Worth. He was cynical and openly 0pp0sed to God, Christ, the Bible, yet he hung on every word about the LORD and his goodness, for over 3 hours!
My tattoo has been a bit controversial, though readily accepted, where I live & [sign in to see URL] Christian residential treatment facility.
